Ich habe mit mir nach Südafrika ein art Freundschaftsbuch genommen, viele meiner Freunde hatten eingeschreiben, und als mein Jahr zuende ging, gab ich es auch meiner Familie! Meine Mutter schrieb dies:
Ich habe heute mein Büchlein durchgeblättert, und dachte mir, dies würde ich gerne mit euch teilen.

The past 10 month have been the most pleasurable time in my life having you as my daughter.
You have spiced our lives with joy,love and happiness.
When you arived, you where scared, impatient and lonely, but you tourned ot to be a very patient, tolerant and loving young lady. I respect the courage you had to make things work at home, at school and in our country.
Things may have been different from what you had expected, but you realy made life easier for us. Thank you for sharing a year in your life with us. Much as you've learned, we have learned a lot from you. You thought us to care for other people, to respect their cultures and believes.
You fitted so well in our family that we forgot that we were living with a white person. I doubt it, you must be black inside.
We are really going to miss you, and we will eagerly wait for you to come back to South Africa, maybe with your family "anything is possible, YOU know."
I know that in Austria I have a sister, Gerda, who trusted me to take care of her adorable daughter, and I hope that is exactly what I did!
Krista, you were a real ambassador of your home and country, you bahved in a very responsible way. I never had a problem with you.
